No More Excuses

Change is tough for us, it is emotionally challenging. it is not what we are used to doing, what we are used to saying, or who we are used to being. ┬áThat’s why it’s so hard to change.

Now, It is said that in order to make change a habit, you must do whatever it is for at least 21 days consecutively. It is also said that if we make a change in one area of our lives, (yes, that), it can theoretically affect change in all areas of our lives.

If you know you want to be better, you want to behave better or you want to look better but you can’t quite seem to make it happen on your own, why not ask God to be your strength, or to be your voice of reason, and then you do your part and begin to make an effort and don’t stop trying! If you fail,

No more excuses! You can do it!

Philippians 4:13 says, “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me”.

Matthew 6:33 says, “But seek ye first the kingdom of God and His righteousness and all these other things shall be added”, (Righteous things, Godly blessings), nothing is too big, too small or too hard for God! ┬áJust ask Him, He is able and He will change what you cannot change on your own.

Clear out the clutter

At the close of the first full week of a new year, I thought about how, on New Year’s Day, my husband and I started cleaning out the clutter in our home. After taking down the Christmas decorations, we simply felt like it was a good time to get rid of stuff we haven’t used in years (cabinets and closets). It was liberating and hard work, but well worth it.

It’s a new year, and one of the best ways to start over is to clean away the clutter! Make up your mind to let go of what and who has been taking up good space in your life.

If you realize that relationships have been holding you back or causing stagnation physically, emotionally or mentally, pray to God for guidance and strength to change and move forward.

“Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus” (Philippians 3:13-14)

“You can’t reach for anything new, if your hands are full of yesterday’s junk”.

Should Old Aquaintaince Be Forgot

A New Year is right around the corner, and we need to change the way we think about things and people.

People these days are a number of things, some are too tired to be what you need them to be. They are too busy making a living and taking care of their families needs, some are oblivious of others and not always in a negative way, they are just doing them! Don’t take it personally. It’s probably not even about you, it is simply, “them doing them“, their family thing.

Try not to be hurt, offended or angered by it. “It is, what it is”.

But! If you are fortunate enough to have a true friend, cherish them. True friends are rare, you don’t have to see them all the time or talk to them regularly, but, when you see one another or finally talk, it seems as though you never missed a beat, you pick right up where you left off. You know, that person who you can say anything to, who you laugh like crazy with, and after a conversation, you see things clearly, and you are full of confidence, and joy.

Thank God for that friend!

Proverbs 27:9 ESV
“Oil and perfume make the heart glad, and the sweetness of a friend comes from his earnest counsel”

Luke 6:31 ESV
And as you wish that others would do to you, do so to them.
