Have You Changed Your Mind?

I remember as a child how when Mohamed Ali was interviewed before or after a fight, he would always say, “I am the greatest”, “I float like a butterfly, and sting like a bee”. He spoke that which he expected his life to be, and based on his boxing career, he succeeded just as he spoke and, as he expected. He was referred to as arrogant and conceited, but he WAS the greatest boxer in his day, because he spoke victory, never defeat over his own life and, most importantly he was about helping others.

It’s what we expect, that which we think about which expands in our lives. Change your thoughts, then you will change your world. Change your expectations, then your life can start to manifest that which you speak and believe.

Proverbs 18:21. Death and life are in the power of the tongue

Proverbs 23:7 For as a man thinketh, so is he

John 10:10 “I have come that you may have life and have it more abundantly”

Jeremiah 29:11 “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future”.

Don’t be that way

When my husband and I were first married,  he was not as involved in church as I was.  It made life difficult  for us both at times because we argued about my commitment to something other than him, and my children.

“But here’s the thing”,  when you get married, you are pretty sure that you know who you are, and who you are marrying, right ?  Then why is it that after you say “I do” sometimes, one of you decides things should all of a sudden be different?   You knew when you married them , they were involved, giving, loving, kind and supportive, not only towards you, but towards everyone.  They were involved in church, community, or ministry, except now you tend to get upset if they give too much of their time and energy to anyone or anything other than you.

Don’t striffle the gift that God has placed within them.   In case you don’t quite  understand what I mean; don’t make them so uncomfortable about being or doing what they feel the need to do, that they feel they must choose between you, peace at home, or the good, the ministry,  the work they feel called to do.   “Don’t be that way” .  Support them if you love them, be understanding, and let God be pleased with you both.

BUT WAIT! !   Nothing and no one should ever come before your home, husband, wife, children, your family ever!!!!

“Love starts at home, and then spreads abroad ”

John 3:17
“But whoso hath this worlds good, and seeth his brother have a need, and shuts his bowls (of compassion) from him, how dwelleth the love of God in him”
