So You Call That Love, Really!

Does this sound kind of familiar, “Why can’t you do what I ask you to”,  “I really would love to spend more quality time doing things outside the house (me.. “not watching westerns or wild Alaska”), or “I want the same relationship we had when we were dating “.   Now think about how God must feel,  He created us!  Now imagine as a parent who takes extra special care of your child, who protects them from dangers seen and unseen, and who provides all that child needs, but that child never says “Thank you”, they don’t show you love or respect, and they never spend time with you anymore.  God is love, He desires our love, just as we desire, love, respect and affection from one another.

Love God enough to spend time with Him daily, (I am a witness that He will wake you early and remind you, if you ask Him to).   Pray in faith (believing), read His word daily (doesn’t have to be an entire chapter), and fellowship (spend time) with other believers because we build each other up, and strengthen one another without even realizing it sometimes.   We need to know that we all experience similar, if not the same issues, and we can get through them with Gods help, and the help of others.

1 Corinthians 13:4-7

4 Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5 It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6 Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7 It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
