My husband and I know as much as the next person how hard it can be to be totally disregarded by people who you have been there for emotionally, physically or even financially. The Word of God tells us no matter what, the good we do will be rewarded If we do it with the heart of God.
Galatians 6:9 “Let us not grow weary in well doing, for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not”. That’s a promise from God!
That’s why it’s so important to always do the right things for the right reasons. Do it because you truly care, and because God’s Word says, we are to care for one another (Romans 12:8). Don’t do anything to be seen or praised by others (the world) instead, do it because Jesus did it for you in giving His all in His life on earth and ultimately in His death on the cross.
Instead of being upset or feeling that you’ve been wronged by someone who seems ungrateful, or totally unconcerned with you after you have been there for them; Be thankful for the time and the friendship you had with them, for what you learned from them positive or negative, and for what you were able to do to help them in their time or times of need. That’s God’s love being exhibited through you.
Friends come and go, and not all relationships are forever. It’s okay!
