“Tis’ the season” that so many are sad, lonely and lose hope. The very time in which we chose to rejoice and celebrate the birth of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, satan purposely causes depression, hopelessness, anxiety or the pain of the death of a loved one to increase drastically. Yes the pain is real, but I also believe it is to distract us from the joy of the season, since it seems to increase so much during this Holiday season.
The bible says “if we submit to God, we can resist the devil and he must flee”, he will literally run away! (James 4:7) along with the anxiety, sadness and loneliness he brings. Begin your healing by spending time with The Lord first thing every morning. Christ, of His own will, came into a sin filled world, lived, taught and gave His life for us! Talk to Him (praying) as if He is right beside you (He is)! First, thank Him for being Lord of all, then confess your sins, he knows them already, He just wants to know you will tell Him. Thank Him for keeping you even in that sin, tell Him your concerns, your pain, and fears. Don’t forget to pray for others and then end your prayer by thanking Him, for what He’s done, and for what He’s going to do. Rejoice and Make it a “Merry Christmas” and a Happy New Year!
“No weapon formed against you shall prosper” Isaiah 54:17, “I sought the LORD, and he heard me, and delivered me from all my fears” (Psalm 34:4). “Why are you downcast, O my soul? Why so disturbed within me? Put your hope in God, for I will yet praise him, my Savior and my God” (Psalm 42:5).
