God hears us when we dishonor one another, speaking badly and tearing down one another’s character. “A persons harvest in life, will depend entirely on what they sow” NIV. (“God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap” KJV Galatians 6:7). When Miriam and Arron, Moses sister and brother, dishonored Moses by talking behind his back for marrying outside their race (an Ethiopian woman). Numbers 12:1. God heard Miriam, and was upset by what she was doing (causing discord among the people) to the point that Miriam was stricken with leprosy for a short period of time. We should be very careful when we allow our tongues to stir up strife. I know we get angry, or impatient with one another at times, but we must do our best to not speak badly about anyone, especially within the family, and those of faith, instead find a way to defuse your own anger in a tense situation. Remember, everyone is different and won’t always see things your way. Be slow to speak in anger, take a minute to find the good and always try to speak in a way that would please God, so that He will be pleased with you for exhibiting the fruit of His Spirit, love! After all, God is the judge of us all, so leave the judging to Him and try to accept people for who they are. Just breathe, smile and let them be!
