Don’t sweat the small stuff

These days, people (men and women) are looking for specifics in a spouse or in a relationship. Height, weight, hair, even careers. So what happens when you get everything you thought you wanted In a mate, and you get married (you do know that everything changes when you say, “I do”) then you start to wonder, who is this person? Now you find out that you can’t resolve issues, you argue more than not, and you can’t even agree on the simple things. What do you do then?

If you are fortunate enough to have found that someone who possesses most (80%) of what you desire in a mate, why not accept the few flaws (20%) that you would rather not deal with or those things that are simply a little annoying, and be patient and kind as you work through those issues.

No matter what happens in a relationship, if you want it to work out, you work harder to make it work out”. That’s what long-lasting marriages have in common.
